Tibetan Prayer-Wheel made with leather, metal, and wood. Detailed metal tip on top of wheel and metal ball attached to center of wheel.

Comes with text panel that says:

TIBETAN PRAYER-WHEEL

TIBETAN LAMAS [teachers of the Dharma in Tibetan Buddhism] INSERTED WRITTEN PRAYERS INSIDE PRAYER-WHEELS, THEN ROTATED THE WHEELS WHILE THEY WALKED AND PRAYED. PRAYERS WERE IDENTICAL. TRANSLATED THEY READ, "HAIL, THE JEWEL ON THE LOTUS," A REFERENCE TO BUDDHA'S DIVINE ORIGIN.
