"These two figures with the long, slender arms and legs are Balinese-- in very dark, smooth, and shiny wood. The heads, you will notice are caucasian.
Bali is different from the other Indonesian islands. The natives of all the neighboring islands are Mohammedans, but are the Balinese are not.
Bali has had a different religion, it has more beautiful scenery, and it has a different culture. The difference is prominent in all phases of Balinese art."
