Abstract

This critically appraised topic (CAT) paper focuses on ways for occupational therapy practitioners to address religion and spirituality with adult clients in the United States (U.S.). The components of this topic include the interpretation of the theoretical framework used followed by integral world events, a general description of the population of occupational therapists in the U.S., the definition of sensitive topics including religion, and the role of occupational therapy providers and health maintenance interventions.
