From James Carley's notes: Pr. of cylindrical stoneware bottles, 9" with angular shoulder, spout pressed in the lip with fingers. Fire dark brown slip. I believe thrown on the wheel. Probably for ink, possibly British. Pur. Hartford 1939-1940.
