From James Carley's notes: Stoneware crock with handles, 11 1/2 " high, 12" dia. Double incised line 2" from the rim. Brownish are as in the salt glase. Bottom warped in firing. Inside a yellow brown slip. Rim and bottom unglazed. Mark: Impressed S.T.BREWER/ HAVANA/ 4. Blue, inlaid in the mark, in the floral design, and at the handles. Purchased Indpls. Antique Show.
