From James Carley's notes: Cylindrical, redware jar, 9 1/4" tall, glazed entirely except on the base and bottom of the cover, with brown splatters and with iridescence. Straight needed collar. Incised lines at shoulder and 1/2 of the way down. 29 scratched on the bottom. Purchased from Jane Magsig, who bought it is Maine. She is quite sure it is New England.
