From James Carley's notes: Large jug of stoneware 18" high of elegant ovoid shape. The greenish glaze has a sheen. Gentle floral brushed decoration is blue, very subdued. Unmarked. There is a firing mark like an exotic bird. Good condition. Purchased Bickley's Antiques. Chambersburg PA,. Probably local.
