Description

This letter, dated December 2, 1952, from Nelson Mason to Assistant Director of the US Bureau of Land Management William Zimmerman concerns land patents 1133570 and 1133027. The letter quotes, in full, a letter received by Mason from Richland County North Dakota State Attorney. The quoted letter states that it can gone over Funfar's position related to the patents. The quote letter then explains the error identified by Funfar as it related to the exact location of the land patents per the descriptions along the Sisseton and Wahpeton Indian Reservation. The quoted letter concludes that the patents need added language indicating that the properties lie in the Lake Traverse Lands area, which is the old Sisseton and Wahpeton Indian Reservation. Mason's letter then states that he hopes the quoted letter will be helpful in getting the legal descriptions sorted.
