This letter, dated October 2, 1952, from Laura Page Knudson on behalf of the office of United States (US) Representative Usher Burdick to Miss Selma H. Stenerson concerns flooding as a result of Garrison Dam. In response to Stenerson's September 26 request for maps that show which lands will be flooded, the letter states that the office of Burdick has no such maps available. The letter also notes that Knudson has attached Burdick's brief, "Concerning the Legal Authority for the Building of the Garrison Dam at Garrison, North Dakota" which is not included in this document. The letter concludes by identifying a booklet titled "The Corps of Engineers in North Dakota" from July, 1950 and which has maps and pictures of the Garrison Dam project which Stenerson may be able to request from the US Army Corps of Engineers.
