Description

This letter, dated April 24, 1956, from Perpetua Grinnell to United States (US) Representative Usher Burdick appears to be part of a letter-writing campaign in support of US Senate Bill 2151 (S. 2151) and per capita payments. Grinnell indicates that Cross has a meeting with Burdick on April 25, and he speaks for the majority of the tribal members on the Fort Berthold Reservation. About half a dozen similar letters were in Burdick's files.
