Description
This document, dated March 7, 1956, describes a meeting between United States (US) Representative Usher Burdick and Frank Heart, a chief of one the chiefs of the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation. The document states that Heart showed up in full regalia to discuss issues from the Reservation. The document also states that John Wilkinson and Carl Whitman were present along with BJ Youngbird, chairmen of the Stockmen's Association at Fort Berthold. The document concludes by stating that most of the discussion was held in the "Sioux language" which Burdick is fluent in.
