A photograph of the Old Main Memorial Sphere taken on May 29, 1964, alongside Merrifield Hall. The Memorial sphere was erected at the site of Old Main. Following the demolition of Old Main in 1963, a half-ton metal grill memorial sphere with an eternal flame, created by Stanley O. Johnson, then Assistant Professor of Art, was erected Fall of 1963.
