Description

Demonstrators for Civil Rights march through campus carrying signs in March of 1965. The demonstrators are south of University Ave near the Sigma Chi Fraternity House. In the wake of incidents in Selma, AL, nearly 125 students, faculty, and towns people marched in protest of the restriction of African American Voting Rights in the South and discrimination against migrant workers.
