Frank Wilder was hired as an Assistant Professor of Geology (1902-1903), and also served as State Geologist (1902-1903). He had receieved a masters from Yale (1893) and a Ph.D from the University of Chicago (1902). He only stayed a year before leaving for the University of Iowa.
