Abstract
This independent study is an attempt to analyze the regulation of business in the United States of America. Its objective is to go back in American history to find and describe the legislative origins of government regulation of business and trace its growth to the present. Using the specific areas of price, transport, and public utilities, the impact of regulation on business as it is manifested in todays modern environment will be analyzed.
