Description

This letter dated December 20, 1949, from Irene Martin on behalf of United States (US) Senator William Langer to Mrs. Donald Dike responds to Dike’s letter of November 21, 1949, regarding items originally included in US House Resolution No. 33 that were subsequently struck from a related US Senate bill. Martin explains that “Senator Langer said the reason President Truman vetoed this bill was because the points you mentioned were left out of the Bill.”

The letter includes the handwritten annotation “Indians.”
